PAYMENT

Deposit

A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking. The property will be held for one week from the time of booking until payment of the deposit is received.

If the booking is made less than 6 weeks before the date of the holiday the full cost of the rental must be paid at the time of booking.

Upon receipt of the deposit, we will send you confirmation of the booking, travel information etc.

Balance

The balance, (70%) of the rental cost must be paid 6 weeks before arrival. If payment is not made on time the booking is at risk. We aim to contact you to discuss the situation should this occur.

How to Pay

Please make payment direct to our bank. This may be in GBP or Euros. Details will be provided on booking.

Breakages

We do not charge a breakage deposit, but prefer to operate on a trust system. If you break or damage something in the apartment please inform us immediately so that we can source a replacement before new guests arrive. Please do not replace items yourself as we wish to keep all fixtures and fittings consistent and matching.

Below is a guide price for replacement of commonly broken/lost items :

Wine glass - € 3, Cafetiere - € 15, Mug - €3, Apartment Key - €10

For all other items especially higher value items such as TV's etc please see us to get a replacement cost.

Central Heating

In colder months it will be necessary to have the central heating on. The cost of the gas consumed for heating is not included in the rental price and must be paid for in cash to the owners according to usage.

Cancellation

The deposit is not refundable. The balance, if paid early, is refundable (less bank fees) up to 6 weeks before the date booked, after that time it is not refundable.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Please ensure your arrival and departure times are between the following hours. This allows for other guests comfort and the cleaning of the property.

Arrival - Should be between 16.00 hours (4pm) and 19.00 hours (7pm)

** If you are likely to arrive outside these hours please contact us in advance to arrange key pickup.

Departure - Strictly by 10.00 hours (10am)

LINENS

Bed linen, bath towels, pool towels, kitchen towels/tea towels are provided at the start of your stay. These will be changed weekly for those of you staying longer than one week.

CLEANING

The cost of normal cleaning of the property at the end of your stay is included in the rental price, assuming you leave the premises in good order.

In this regard it is the responsibility of guests to, at minimum, complete the following cleaning tasks :

1) All washing up done and put away.

2) All fridge contents removed and fridge cleaned.*

*In the event of having unopened food or drink products left at the end of your stay please place these in a carrier bag in the fridge and we will see that they are used where possible.

3) Oven and hob cleaned.

4) Bins emptied and cleaned.

5)Floor swept.

** If these tasks are not completed a € 60 Euro special cleaning charge will be made.

WHAT ELSE IS INCLUDED ?

Gas for cooking (not Central Heating), Electricity and Water are all included in the rental price. Water is from a spring and although fine for cleaning teeth, cooking, making coffee etc we recommend buying bottled water for drinking.

In the kitchen, you will find salt, pepper, kitchen paper, cling film, aluminium foil and washing up liquid.

In the bathroom, a toilet roll and a new bar of soap is provided.

GENERAL RULES

POOL

The pool is open from 9.00am to 7.00pm.

There is no Lifeguard and children can only use the pool when supervised by an adult.

Please do not monopolise the pool, it is there for all the guests to enjoy.

Jumping and diving into the pool from the side or steps is strictly forbidden.

Parents of small children should note that although the pool is above ground, it is not fenced.

The pool is open to guests from mid May to mid September. These times are non specific as the actual dates rely on weather conditions each year. Please contact ourselves to check exact dates if it is important to your holiday.

SMOKING

Smoking is NOT allowed inside any of the properties. Should you need to smoke outside, please be very careful as smoking is an extreme fire hazard, especially in the hot summer months with so much dry vegetation.

CHILDREN

Children are welcome. It is the responsibility of their parents to ensure they are supervised for their own safety. The grounds around the farmhouse are not fenced.

BBQ

There are BBQs available for guest use. It is the responsibility of the guests to ensure that the BBQ is cleaned after use. All used charcoal must be bagged (when cold) and taken to the commune bin at the top of our road. It must not be dumped in the grounds or woods.

PETS

The owners have their own friendly female dogs on site. If you wish to bring a dog please email/call to discuss. Sorry but we cannot allow cats.

NOISE

We want all our guests to enjoy their stay so please respect other people’s privacy and be considerate, do not make excessive noise after 11pm.

LIABILITY

No liability is accepted what so ever for damage or loss to persons or their property whilst staying at Podere Fiorito.

INSURANCE

It is highly recommended that you take out medical/travel/cancellation insurance.
